There are many ways for our international students to get involved, including these opportunities:
The Global Redbirds Mentorship Adjustment Program (MAP) focuses on connecting newly-arrived international students with domestic ISU students who have spent at least one full academic year on campus. The mentorship program is intended to facilitate the smooth transition of international students into the ISU community, build friendships, and enhance cultural awareness.
The International Student Advisory Board (ISAB) provides a voice for the international student community and an opportunity to affect real change. The ISAB works in collaboration with ISSS to improve communication and strengthen relations between the international student community and ISSS with the end goal of enhancing the experience of international students at ISU.
Becoming an International Student Ambassador offers international students the opportunity to proudly represent their home country. Ambassadors will serve as a valuable resource to incoming international students and the campus community at large. Throughout the experience, Ambassadors will gain valuable leadership and communication skills, as well as lasting connections with other students.
