All students studying abroad through Illinois State University are required to attend a Pre-Departure Orientation. The orientation dates vary from semester to semester, but in general, Study Abroad Orientations take place in early November for students studying abroad in the spring, and late April for students studying abroad in the fall and summer.
The Office of International Studies and Programs has developed an ISU Study Abroad Pre-Departure Guide for students going abroad. This guide will answer many common questions about study abroad through Illinois State, such as cost, credit, passport/visas, packing, registration, and a lot more!
If students going abroad still have questions after reading this guide, they are encouraged to contact our office at 309-438-5276.
