How Do I Request a Travel Signature?
If you do not have a travel signature on your I-20/DS-2019 or if the signature is no longer valid, you can request a new travel signature by following the steps below. Students currently on OPT/STEM Extension should visit the Travel During OPT or STEM section of our website for instructions on how to request a travel signature.
Follow the instructions at the end of the form and bring your ORIGINAL I-20 or DS-2019 to 102 Williams Hall.
The front desk will verify that you have uploaded all of the required documents and submit your paperwork to your advisor for review and signature (allow 2-3 days processing time). NOTE: During Travel Signature Week (usually the week before each official school break) students will be given same-day processing and will receive a travel signature during their International Student Advisor's walk-in hours.
You will receive an email from the front desk when your I-20/DS-2019 is ready for pick-up. Make sure to look over your I-20/DS-2019 to verify that all the information is correct before signing it. You should retain ALL your documents, but this newest I-20/DS-2019 will be what you show the border agent upon reentry.
