Illinois State's full scope of international activities - undergraduate, graduate, professional, research, and training - are coordinated by the Office of International Studies and Programs (OISP).
OISP facilitates numerous International Linkages across all continents; arranges for hundreds of Illinois State students to participate annually in study abroad programs; serves international students and visiting scholars from around the world; and sponsors programs that provide professional development through international teaching, seminars and research activities. International Studies Happenings
- F-1 Students who plan to do internships after graduating must attend an employment workshop on Thursday, March 18 at 2 p.m. in 212 Fell.
- Global Review will host Dr. Matthew A. Rosenstein, Associate Director of the
Program in Arms Control, Disarmament, and International Security (ACDIS), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as he presents: "Terrorism and Peace Prospects: India, Pakistan and Kashmir" on Tuesday, March 23 at 7 p.m. in the Escalante Room in 103 Vrooman Center. - On Wednesday, March 24, the International Seminar Series presents Professor Issa Boulus, Director, Middle East Music Ensemble, Department of Music, University of Chicago: "Arab Music: Studies in Performance Practices, Genres and Musical Interpretation." - The International Studies Office is pleased to be hosting undergraduate students this spring from France and Japan. Fifteen students from Advancia-Negocia in Paris (one of ISU's exchange partners) have been here since January to hone their language skills with the English Language Institute, learn about American business communication and organizational leadership with the School of Communication, and experience a slice of life in America. Eleven Japanese students from Hokkaido University in Sapporo (another ISU exchange partner) are participating in a one-month American Studies program in collaboration with the English Language Institute.
